PARTNERING WITH PARENTS
Our goal is for your kids to be built up in an environment that prepares them to walk in a genuine relationship with God. We desire to come alongside you to assist in equipping you as parents to build them up to walk out their purpose and ultimate impact their lives and their friends lives for generations to come.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
From two to fifth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience.
When you arrive, our team will happily show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to the first-time check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, how many children are in your family, and get your contact information. Or you can fill out the new family check-in form.
You and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.

Your Visit
From babies to fifth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience. All of our kids experience facilitators have been background checked, screened and interviewed to assure the safety, care and concern for your children.
Ages 2YRS – Age 4YRS
We believe in ministering to the needs of every age group – including the youngest. Parents can rest assured that their babies are receiving personal care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Ages 5YRS – 12yrs
Students love to learn, so our class provides an interactive learning experience that’s both fun and engaging. From illustrated Bible lessons to educating games, they learn about God’s Word in a memorable way.
We believe at age 13 and above they are able to comprehend and absorb the practical and engaging teaching offered by our Pastor and teaching teams. Special consideration will be taken to accommodate students wishing to partake in the student experience on a case by case basis. Also, we have student connect group gathering that the student can benefit from with community and care, so please check the website consistently.
CHILD DEDICATION
We are excited that you are interested in dedicating your child to the Lord. The purpose of Child Dedication is for parents to present their child before God and the church, committing to seek after His grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities.
We believe Psalm 127:3, which says “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Child Dedication is a time for us to celebrate and thank God for the gift of your children. It’s also a time for you, as parents, to commit to model what following Jesus looks like and to raise your children to understand that they are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe that the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of committing to a community of faith through the local church.
Throughout the New Testament, the Bible teaches that baptism is a vital step in the new life we have when we follow Jesus. In the Bible we see that Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord (Luke 2:22–40), and He was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17).
With a heart to follow this Biblical model, at Oak City, we provide opportunities for child dedication and believer’s baptism for children in consultation with the parents. To participate in child dedication, please complete the Child Dedication Registration Form.
PARENT & CHILD RESOURCES
Our partnership with the Bible App has opened this resource we get to share with everyone. Now, you have the ability to lead your children in becoming passionate Jesus followers. The Bible App for Kids comes with video lessons they can watch at home on TV, tablet, or mobile device. Also, there are print outs for younger kids who want to color as well as other resources to help you parent better and raise you kids to love and follow Jesus. Your kids will get reinforcement for what they receive at church with OCC Kids. Together, we're building a strong generation of Jesus followers.
